These 3d printed models are the new test pieces for my lustre glaze tests.
My flat hexagonal tiles are great for testing if a glaze develops into a lustre but they don't tell me if that glaze is reflective and how it looks in a 3dimensional form. These models are developed from my flat hexagon tiles and the bismuth vessels I made in Stage three that first inspired me to look at iridescence and light.
The models should let me see how a lustre glaze reacts and reflects within a 3dimensional geometric shape. They will fit together as a whole like the flat hexagon tiles do, both models are the same width at the top and bottom so could be arranged together to display a range of lustre glaze combinations for my interim show.
